Nishikori, Zverev Storm into Third Round in Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS, Calif -- Fourth seed Kei Nishikori stormed past Daniel Evans in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open early Sunday afternoon. Teenager Alexander Zverev moved past Facundo Bagnis in a thrilling 7-6, 6-3 (10).

The Japanese superstar had no trouble advancing as he was able to get a couple of breaks to give him a ride to the next round. He closed the first set without any resistance from the Brit.

The second set was a different story as he jumped to an early break in the second set, but Evans broke right back. They remained on serve until Nishikori broke in the ninth game to go up 5-4. He closed out the match 6-3, 6-4.

Nishikori will play Gilles Muller for a spot in the fourth round. Zverev awaits the winner of Kyrgios and Horacio Zeballos.
