Nick Kyrgios has withdrawn from his quarterfinal clash with Roger Federer due to sickness. The 21-year-old, who took out defending champion Novak Djokovic in the fourth round, went on social media to announce his withdrawal.
"I'm so sorry but I can't play @BNPPARIBASOPEN today.," he posted on Twitter.
Kyrgios and Federer are the two players who emerged victorious in Djokovic's quarter of the draw, now known as the 'Quarter of Death.'
Federer took out his fellow future hall of famer and long time rival Rafael Nadal in the most anticipated match of the BNP Paribas Open.
Federer will now await the winner of Kei Nishikori and Jack Sock.
