Three-time Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka has announced he's adding Paul Annacone to his coaching team. Wawrinka, who will face nine-time champ Rafael Nadal in the final of Roland Garros on Sunday, made the announcement before the announcement before the match.
Here is the official statement:
"I would like to take this opportunity to announce as of immediately that we have added Paul Annacone to our existing coaching staff to help during the grass court season for the next four weeks. Paul’s experience speaks for itself having worked with some of the greatest players of all time. His knowledge can only better our understanding of the grass. It's a real privilege and honour to add such a coach to our corner."
Annacone, who is a Tennis Channel announcer, most recently worked with Sloane Stephens. He previously coached 14-time Grand Slam champ Pete Sampras and 18-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer.
