KEY BISCAYNE, Florida -- Top two seeds Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic have withdrawn from this week's Miami Open, both citing injuries.
World No. 1 Murray put out a statement yesterday, citing right elbow injury for his withdrawal.
Murray was knocked out of the BNP Paribas in the second round by qualifier Vasek Pospisil in two sets 6-4, 7-6(5).
The tournament posted Djokovic's withdrawal today on Twitter. Like Murray, Djokovic has been forced to withdraw with an elbow injury.
The Miami Open kicks off this week starting on Monday.
