Czech Republic Fed Cup team heads into the 2016 Fed Cup final this weekend as the favorite against France, or at least on paper. France will host the final this weekend on November 12-13, 2016 at Rhenus Sport, Strasbourg, France.

The Czech Republic team will be eager to defend their title, which they have held twice consecutively, and four times in five years. Three of these wins were won at home, including the last two in 2014 and 2015.
The defending country boasts a team of elite players that include two-time Grand Slam winner Petra Kvitova, and top-ten player Karolina Pliskova.

Ranked World No. 6 in singles. This is her career high ranking, thanks to her stellar season that includes two singles titles and a huge win over 22-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams at 2016 U.S. Open semis. This is her second year playing for her country’s Fed Cup team.
A former top-ten player who is currently ranked World No. 11. She boasts 19 WTA Career titles that include 2 Wimbledon trophies, 1 WTA Finals title in 2011, and 2 singles titles in 2016. She led her Fed Cup team to victory in 2012, 2014, and 2015.
Currently holds a World No. 20 ranking. She has 1 career singles title and 20 doubles titles, including 3 doubles trophies that she won in 2016. Strycova has been an integral member of the Czech Republic Fed Cup team since 2002.
A doubles specialist. She has accumulated 21 career doubles titles that include 2 Grand Slam doubles, 1 mixed doubles, and a 2012 doubles Olympic Silver medal. Hradecka was part of the doubles team that helped Czech Republic lift the trophy against Germany in 2014. She’s been a member of her Fed Cup team since 2010.
