One of the many free-entry Smithsonian Museums in Washington, DC, the Air and Space Museum is a place where visitors can see visually stunning feats of aeronautical engineering, while learning about the past, present, and future of aerospace.
The museum is also a center for research into the history and science of flight, as well as several other in depth topics ranging from the first flight to journey’s around the galaxy.
The museum is open from 10:00am to 5:30pm 7 days a week, and offers visitors free 90 minute tours at 10:30am and 1pm, daily.
In 2014, the museum saw approximately 6.7 million visitors, making NASM the 5th most visited museum in the world.
