Madrid Open: Nadal, Djokovic, Thiem Advance to Quarters, Murray Stunned

Lucky loser Borna Coric stunned top seed Andy Murray in the third round of Mutual Madrid Open with a 6-3, 6-3 win. The 20-year-old next plays Dominic Thiem, who came from a set and a break down to defeat Grigor Dimitrov 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(9).

In other matches second seed Novak Djokovic took out Feliciano Lopez 6-4, 7-5. He will play Kei Nishikori, who beat David Ferrer 6-4, 6-3.

Rafael Nadal steamrolled rising star Nick Kyrgios with a 6-3, 6-1 win. Next up for the Spaniard is David Goffin, who took out Milos Raonic 6-4, 6-2.

Alexander Zverev defeated Tomas Berdych 6-4, 6-4. The 20-year-old next plays Pablo Cuevas, who defeated Benoit Paire 7-5, 0-6, 6-1.
