WATCH Day 10 Winners & Losers: Rain Takes Center Stage at Roland Garros

PARIS -- Rain took center stage today, wiping out the courts for most of the day as the players found shelter in the player's lounge. Most of the quarterfinal matches including marquee ones (defending champ Novak Djokovic v Dominic Thiem, and nine-time champ Rafael Nadal v Pablo Carreno Busta) were canceled.

The women's scheduled quarterfinal matches were able to finish as Timea Bacsinszky conquered rain, wind, the French crowd, and home favorite Kristina Mladenovic. Elsewhere, Caroline Wozniacki lost control of her match as she was sent packing by a feisty teenager.

Winners:

Bacsinszky, a 2015 semifinalist who took the first set before losing to eventual winner Serena Williams, defeated Kristina Mladenovic in straight 6-4, 6-4, sending her to her second Roland Garros semifinal.

Losers:

After squandering a two-break in lead in the first set but eventually taking it 6-4, Wozniacki won only four games in the next two sets, losing 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 to 19-year-old Jelena Ostapenko.

Notable Matches:

ALL MEN'S MATCHES WERE CANCELED

Djokovic v Thiem RESCHEDULED - first match Wednesday at Suzanne-Lenglen Court

Nadal v Carreno RESCHEDULED - first match Wednesday at Philippe-Chatrier Court
