Allison Bodenmann is Tennis Channel’s senior vice president, head of advertising sales. Joining the network in 2014, the longtime media-advertising executive has significant experience in traditional, digital and mobile media monetization in addition to 20 years of agency buying and planning experience.
Based at Tennis Channel’s Manhattan office, Bodenmann oversees executive accounts, manages the staff in New York and acts as a liaison between the ad sales team and the independent network’s corporate headquarters in Los Angeles. She continues to expand the channel’s high-profile sponsor efforts while developing new ways to apply its live rights to close to 90 percent of U.S. televised tennis across all platforms on behalf of network sponsors.
Prior to Tennis Channel, Bodenmann served in sales at Placemedia a start-up in the TV programmatic space and AdLarge Media, LLC a start-up in the digital radio space. Prior to that she was national sales manager at digital-specialist IAC, leading efforts for a wide array of websites including Evite, Match, Citysearch, Ask and at WorldNow, managing sales of local digital video and display inventory across over 300 local station news sites. Additionally, Bodenmann founded the Syndicated National Television Association (SNTA) in 1998, and served as president of the television-program syndicators’ trade group for three years. While there she developed the first syndication industry advertising campaign and brought in a stable of new advertisers that included Mazda, Discover Card, Wal-Mart and Yum Brands.
Bodenmann has also worked as vice president of business development at Court TV. She started her career at Jordan, McGrath, Case & Taylor, where she spent 19 years rising to the position of senior vice president, broadcast director, for the advertising agency.
Bodenmann lives in Pelham, New York, and holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
