  • Re: The Tennis Channel on Cox Arizona

You will not see many live matches shown by the TC, you will see many a repeated variety show hosted by Murphy Jensen. You will see re runs of other matches when live action is going on., You will see some live action of Grand Slams but only what ESPN wants the TC to show and they do not. You will see that the TC does not have televising rights to most

  • Re: That Bud Collins is a "Pistol Too".

I agree with you that Collins can get under one's skin pretty easily and I wonder why ESPN signed him on once NBC let him go but for his knowledge of the game we could not hold a candle to him. I am sure he would gladly debate tennis with anyone and would not embarass himself giving us facts about the game we know nothing about. As far as being

  • Re: Equal pay for equal work

Didn't Billie Jean King instigate this equal money for the women to begin with? I simply do not understand why the women do not have to play 3 of 5 in Grand Slams yet get the same prize money. How can this possibly be fair and yet tourney officials, sponsors etc. I assume could care less about the difference. Why do the men have to play 3 of 5 anyway

  • Re: Shanghai Masters

HI Linda, I heard that Fox Sports Net is doing the singles live but I haven't stayed up to see if it is on or not. Also, I only heard them say that Stepanek was the alternate so that is why he is there. I am sure there were other players in the rankings ahead of Stepanek so I too am at a loss at why he was the one called. TC has let me down so many

Say Federer and Simon tie for 2nd with 2 and 1 records,Simon would go because he beat Roger. Then it is based on who won the most sets and then who won the most games in that particular group. Wednesday group is the one for the players you mentioned. Roger vs Andy, Simon vs Murray. It comes down to head to head first then the sets games etc. I do believe

  • Re: Can Barry McKay turn off his sound when he isn't talking?

As bad as they are, they cannot hold a candle to Mary Carillo, Pam Shriver, *** Enberg, Brad Gilbert, Darren Cahill, Mary Jo Fernandez and both McEnroes as far as continuous talking while points are in play. Listen to them on ESPN when they are commentating and see what I mean.

  • Re: TV - Sony Ericsson

Announcers are: Corina Morariu - Lindsay Davenport - Barry McKay and believe me, if you think they are bad listen in sometime when ESPN is calling matches. You will either mute the control or just turn the TV off, as it is that bad.

  • Re: dimwit commentators calling the nadal-simon semifinal

Simon is a very good young player and he will continue to improve in 2009 and I am sure come up with some good results and move up in the rankings. As for the commentators mentioned, everyone has his or her opinion and that is what is great to be able to voice one's opinion. The thing I like about Goodall- Koenig -Adler is they are not constantly

  • Re: McEnroe's Decision.

I used to like McEnroe as a player because he was one of the few who came to the net when all the other players were just standing back and trying to outstroke each other. But once I saw how John acted on the court with his behavior I just turned against him because of his continuing cursing of the lines people, belittering the umpire and making obscene

  • Re: Ted & Tracey

I wish I could say the same for Ted Robinson but he also works for the Tennis Channel, he is constantly talking while points are being played and continously gives stats. on matches that happened decades ago that do not pertain to the match at hand at all. ESPN has enough commentators so I seriously doubt they would add Tracey to go along with Carillo
