We just got the tennis channel where I live, so I am new to this, but where are the classic matches???? I would LOVE to see some McEnroe vs Borg or Lendel or Edberg vs Chang, or Agassi vs Becker. Does anyone know if you can buy these on DVD?? I want my kids (new tennis players) to see the good stuff!!!!!

So, I'm watching the '82 Aussie Open final between Evert and Navratilova and the match goes to commercial tied up at a set apiece.

On comes Bill McAtee (sp?) doing a piece on Tennis Channel's forthcoming Aussie Open coverage (replete with goofy fake smile and graphics more befitting the era of the match being played than when the promo was produced) to tell me that Evert won the match.

Folks, it's not too difficult: you just have to pay attention! I get the idea that your network runs on auto-pilot more often than not.

atssports.com has a bunch of classic matches (including many that you mentioned) on DVD, Certainly, you can find them on bit-torrent file sharing sites as well.

I'd prefer the Tennis Channel to broadcast boatloads of classic matches rather than replaying Agassi Between-the-Lines or some of the oft-repeated segments.

This is exactly what I posted up...its the same repeats month in and out now...show some tennis. You can't tell me that the few matches they showed 97 times are the only Australian Open Classics they could get their hands on. Bring on the McEnroe, the Becker, the Connors...bye bye to the endless recycling of No Strings, Center Court, and Destination Tennis.
