I noticed that I am the 2nd place winner for the men's bracket from the Austrailian Open, however, I haven't been notified by anyone about claiming my prize. I emailed The Tennis Channel and only received the emailed newsletter in return. The contest was alot of fun to participate in, and I hope I am not let down.

The last episode of "Best of Five" dropped the ball on the Muller Roddick upset...

there was absolutely no mention of Muller upsetting that years French Open champion at the Wimbledon in June.. Not a word. When you beat a slam champion, that is not coming out of "nowhere".

also, Wilanders comment about Ashe being a "smart player" is total nonsese. Ashe himself admited that he was not a thinker on court and played very one dimensional, and at times very effective attacking tennis. He played ONE smart match, and that was his win over Connors in 75.

What happens when a player pulls out of the tournie and you picked him to win the first round and the player who played in his spot wins?

For example, I picked Gael Monfils to win but Bolozjac was put in his place.

How to I modify my picks for the next rounds now that Gael Monfils is out?

The players are in Indian Wells Ca. for this 2 week tournament that features both ATP and WTA. Not playing for the ladies are: Henin, Clijsters or the Williams sisters. Really not too many threats for Sharapova IMO as Petrova, Kutznetsova or Hingis cannot beat Maria. Last I heard, Serena had the flu and has not played since the Aust. Open which is not that surprising.

I am sure there will be some good match ups but not all the top players will be there, I believe ESPN has majority of the coverage with some from the TC.

"Roger Federer never close to Sampras"

Well i love tennis so I really have to talk about this. Though Federer is on the verge of surpassing Sampras' record, just think about Federer's opponents. No one has been on top consistently to challenge him, not only now when Nadal and Djokovic just entered the scene but before that Roger has been collecting his Grand Slams with not so high rated opponents. Remember Sampras' days? Those where the time real legend players are competing and among them Sampras was the one to stood up above all and won 14 Grand Slams. How about in Federer's time? Do you consider his opponents as good as Sampras' opponents? Never close. That's why I am saying he is still not close to Sampras. That's why Roger is really having a good time collecting and easy time getting Grand Slams. Don't tell me that Roger has beaten all of his competitors that's why he is always on top but just analyze the amount of talent his opponents have and not that high, no offense to them. And when Roger was consistently grabbing trophy it started when players at his time, legend players, like Sampras, Agassi etc. is on their way of retiring, not only players that time that Roger has been beating are just getting started, a lot on early 20's or even younger. So why consider him the greatest player? I know numbers could be deceiving because he already has 12 but I hope critics would still consider a lot of things. Do you think Roger could beat Sampras in his prime? Would Roger still be getting free Grand Slams if he played at Sampras' time? Look at it now just recently at US Open, Djokovic almost beated him, not only that Federer looked helpless. If not only for Djokovic's 7 set points that he never converted and for Federer's life-saving aces, Roger would have lost. I find it natural for Djokivic to loose his composure and lose to Federer because he is still young and has many to improve. I so love tennis that I want critics to give the best honor to the best person who deserves it. I am just saying Roger has still a lot to prove to be considered the best player of all time.

I am a 23 year old female tennis fan and a certified critic :)

Where is Myskina?

Just wondering, I believe she had an injury late last year but have not seen her name in any of the tournaments so far in 2007. Very good player and at one time, she was off because her mom was sick but I believe she got better. Myskina was on a roll for awhile and then just went down in the rankings very quickly. Hope she will get back on the tour before too long.

Country Names on Back of Shirt

I thought it was a Davis Cup rule that the name of the country has to be on the back of the player's shirt. The only exception is if the apparel worn matches the country's colors.

I've noticed that several USA players do not have theeir names on the back and the clothing might be blue and white - but no red. The German doubles team this morning also did not have their names on the back and their clothing did not have their National colors.

Has the rule been dropped?

I heard that all racket/hand sports will be shown. including tennis, pingpong, badminton, handball, squash, cricket,

I don't know if anyone else is having these problems, but, I printed my picks this time, due to incredible inaccuracies during the Acura tournament. I have noticed that many of my picks are misrepresented or represented as no progressing throught the draw when they actually have. Is this just a joke and doesn't matter or is it rigged. I have at least 6 misreported in the first two rounds according to my actual printouts. Is this totally rigged?

What a loser. Once a champ in WTA (granted - at it's wimpiest), the sad hingis apparently takes solace in white power up the nose.
