A sad reign at TC demeans a great sport

 Since I pay for this channel and am a tennis player and decades-long fan, I think I have a right to criticize the pathetic tennis coverage offered on TC. I can sympathize with its
management re the economy and consequent advertising budget shortfalls, if they were not so obviously stupid. i.e., showing the Tsonga/Chardy SA Tournament match at least 20 times, with no coverage of any other matches. TC has evolved into a Tsonga-promo channel, which does no favors for Tsonga and certainly none for TC. The entire season is out except for lacklustre Fed Cup, racquetball (!!!) and some WTA. ESPN 2 has the slams in hand, though I suppose there will be some doubles coverage as in 2008. Again, if these people were true tennis aficionados and not, allegedly, politico-investors, I would sympathize. I cannot. You are doing a disservice to a great sport. Why would any premier advertiser stay with you? Close shop or elect management that is into the game. You, yourselves, do not have a clue, witness, as well, your limp commentators, with the exception of Martina Navratilova, who seems to have wandered in unaware.

Seriously, Luxilon?  Do you live in an alternate universe and get a Tennis Channel that the rest of us are denied access to?

I couldn't agree more! Currently my frustration is not being able to see the Memphis tournament! It doesn't seem to be ANY PLACE on TV and it is blocked in the US on the Internet! WHY? The "powers that be" in tennis are always bemoaning the lack of fan base, but the don't take care of the base they HAVE! I pay a lot of extra money each month to get the Tennis Channel, and all they've been offering during this week of the Memphis tournament is a bunch of reruns (although I do support the fact that they decided not to show Dubai...but Memphis a mixed event with a lot of excellent American male players would have been far more interesting to me!) I hate to say it, but mostly the women's tennis is boring compared to the men's! And, to get back to the point of the post I'm replying to, I, too am SICK of the reruns!!!

 Argo, i agree with you on one thing... the constant showing of the Tsonga match.  over and over.  I absolutely LOVE Tsonga, but not that much!
