What a great exibition of tennis by these 2 great players. I did not think it would be close but Pete has certainly proved me wrong as he has come so close to beating Roger. Pete's serve is probably the best that Roger has seen all year and no one comes to the net like Pete to put pressure on Roger with the consistency that Pete has. The 2 tiebreakers from Malaysia this am was fantastic and what a treat for us tennis fans to have been able to see this match, courtesy of the TC. So many times Pete's serve is just unreturnable and Roger has a heck of a time breaking it. The difference of a decade in age and the 5 year layoff because of Pete's retirement takes it's toll as the match time grows longer. Hat's off to Pete as he has played phenominal tennis for being off so long and then going against the best in Roger.

Roger of course is Roger and he has to fight for everything he gets but he is a true champion and also acknowleges that Pete was and still is one also. Thanks again TC for sharing this great classic with us and for the countries that allowed this special event to be aired into our living rooms.

I agree... and the last match, roger competely blaintantly through the match at 4 all in the 2nd set.  (after tosing the tie-breaker in the first set.)

pete still has some stuff.. and was serving well, you can't take that away... but roger is a poor actor and his phoney fist throwing in self-dismay was very silly and quite unconvincing.

i love roger, but hate to see him and pete have to humilate themselves that way...  in bad taste.... but money is money...

fed is not the greatest and never will be in my eyes and he is lucky to playing with his supose mono, plz if he had that bad he would not be able to play at all.  yet the tenns world needs to look past him look at other up and comming players, yet they contnue to the wanna be king.
